We are warmly inviting you to join us at the lecture of Unlocking the Secrets of Sitting and Moving for Brain Health this Friday afternoon.
In this talk, Dr. Zou will summarize and discuss evidence on the role of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SB) on brain health (including cognitive function, emotion, and sleep) within the 24-h activity cycle, critically review the potential biological mechanisms that might explain the associations of PA and SB with brain health outcomes. Meanwhile, he will discuss different assessment approaches to these movement behaviors and provide an outlook on new possibilities to assess PA and SB via digital technologies. Finally, he will outline challenges and opportunities for studying the relationships between the above-mentioned movement behavior and brain health.
