Active life, Better sleep: The Sleep Theme Activity Month
The arrival of spring in March not only brings warmth but also a sense of urgency in mid-term. Have you been sleeping well recently? Do you sometimes experience daytime sleepiness due to lack of sleep? Or do you struggle with insomnia, unable to fall asleep at night and enduring long nights? Quality sleep is crucial for both physical and mental health, playing a significant role in emotional regulation and mental recovery. According to the statistics from the China Sleep Research Society, over 300 million people in China suffer from sleep disorders. However, only 10% of individuals who engage in regular exercise experience insomnia. It highlights the positive impact that exercise has on improving sleep quality. Regular and moderate exercise can help regulate our body's biological clock and sleep cycle, and stimulate the production of chemicals that aid in sleeping.
On the occasion of the "World Sleep Day", Student Health and Counselling Centre will hold a series of activities under the theme “Active Life, Better Sleep” from March 11th to April 5th. If you are also having trouble sleeping, we welcome you to participate in these activities to explore the connection between exercise and sleep while discovering personalized methods for regulating your sleeping habits.
